The Challenge
The homeowners were only nine months past the first contractor and already living with the fallout: a pool that leaked, a concrete deck poured so badly it held water instead of shedding it, and a yard that had turned into a chore instead of somewhere to unwind.
What We Did
None of the first contractor's work was worth saving, so we did not try. We stripped the yard back to nothing and rebuilt from there, fixing the pool at the source and replacing the failed concrete with a white porcelain patio that finally drains. What went on top was the backyard they should have gotten the first time.
From Vision to Reality
Design
The look got settled in the showroom. The homeowners chose a white porcelain with a contrasting texture, clean and modern, and we worked the turf inlays in so the green and the hardscape read as one surface.
Build
Out came the failed deck. We brought the pool back with new plaster and safety steps, then built up from bare ground: the white porcelain patio, the outdoor kitchen, and the putting green.
