The Challenge
The old patio was worn out and drained badly, and there was not much of it. Between the tight square footage and a layout that fought the lot, there was no good place for the spa and golf-course views the homeowners wanted for relaxing and entertaining.
What We Did
Most of this yard's life happens after dark, so we designed it that way from the start. Rather than treat lighting as the last thing to bolt on, we mapped the In-Lite fixtures first and built around them, throwing a starlight effect around the fire pit so the hot tub and the golf-course views still carry once the sun is down.
From Vision to Reality
Design
The hard part was fitting everything into a footprint that did not have room to spare. We laid out the deck extension to buy back square footage and set the hot tub, kitchen, and fire pit against the golf-course views before anything got built.
Build
The deck extension went in on Techo Bloc pavers, then the hot tub with its spillover, the outdoor kitchen, and an aluminum fence around the edge. The In-Lite fixtures were wired in last, once everything they had to light was in place.

Small footprint, big payoff. The homeowners finally got the spa-side spot they wanted, right on the edge of the golf course.
