The Challenge
The backyard had good bones but tired finishes. The aging deck, dated pool decking, and worn flagstone coping no longer matched the home, and worse, nothing tied the pool, the seating, and the yard together. It read as a few disconnected pieces, not one space.
What We Did
Tired finishes you can resurface. A backyard where nothing tied together, you cannot. That was the call that shaped the whole job: instead of patching around the pool, we took the space down to bare ground so a single material palette could run through all of it. Every choice after that served one backyard, not a list of upgrades.
From Vision to Reality
Design
We planned one cohesive material story, porcelain, composite, stacked stone, and turf, so the deck, pool, fire pit, and putting green would carry the same materials from one end of the yard to the other.
Build
Demo came first: out went the old deck, pool decking, and flagstone coping, down to bare ground. We re-tiled the pool and laid the porcelain overlay, then framed the multi-level composite deck under its aluminum cover and ran cable railing down the deck and stairs. The fire-pit lounge, putting green, shed, and equipment pad closed it out.

Now it earns its keep every day of the week: an elevated deck for shade and views, a fire-pit lounge for the evenings, a putting green for the weekends, and a pool that runs from a phone.
