The Checkerboard
The most unique paver work we have ever installed. We tore out the concrete and laid a checkerboard paver field with hexagon pavers and custom inlay cuts, built a fireplace flanked by two water features, retained the hillside with lit walls, steps, and landings, rebuilt the front-entrance walkway, and replaced the entire driveway with new concrete and black stamped-concrete edges.

The Challenge
Cindy's property was a big, sloped lot with tired concrete front and back. She wanted something genuinely one of a kind, not another patio.
What We Did
This is the most unique paver work we have ever done. We tore out the backyard concrete and laid a checkerboard field with hexagon pavers and custom inlay cuts, built a fireplace flanked by two water features, and held the hillside with lit walls, steps, and landings. Out front we rebuilt the entrance walkway and replaced the entire driveway with new concrete and black stamped-concrete edges.
From Vision to Reality
Design
We designed a one-of-a-kind paver program, a checkerboard field with hexagon pavers and custom inlay cuts, plus a fireplace with twin water features, the hillside retaining, and a new front walkway and driveway.
Build
We demoed the concrete, laid the patterned pavers, built the fireplace and its two water features, set the lit retaining walls, steps, and landings, rebuilt the front walkway, and tore out and repoured the driveway with black stamped-concrete edges.
